Story

Description

Jimmy starts getting sexually aroused at unpredictable and inconvient moments. His timing couldn't be worse -- South Park Elementary's big talent show is only days away and his stand-up routine is a yearly prizewinner. Terrified at the prospect of getting a hard-on in front of the entire school, he confides in Butters. Butters informs him that he needs to stick his erect penis into a girl's vagina, which will cause it to become soft and manageable again.

Armed with this knowledge, Jimmy explicitly propositions a little girl named Bertha in the school hallway. Needless to say, she doesn't go for it. Cartman, overhearing, offers a more time-honored strategy -- take a girl to a nice Italian restaurant and pretend to be a good listener.

Jimmy manages to get a girl named Shauna to go out to dinner with him. Wearing headphones and a mic, Cartman coaches Jimmy on what to say during the date. Everything goes surprisingly well, until Jimmy gets ahead of himself and asks for sex. Outraged, Shauna tosses a glass of water on him, shorting out the headset and electrocuting him.

The night of the talent show Jimmy sits on the curb outside, miserable and afraid to compete. Officer Barbrady happens by, listens to his troubles, and informs Jimmy that little girls don't want to have sex. However, the streetwalkers who work Colfax Point are more than willing.

Jimmy immediately takes off for Colfax Point, where he finds a plump prostitute named Nut Gobbler. Misunderstanding the nature of the hooker/client relationship, he then takes her out to dinner. But before he can seal the deal, they're surprised by Nut Gobbler's pimp, Q-Money, who thinks Jimmy is trying to steal his ho.

The pimp takes off with Nut Gobbler in his car. Jimmy persues her in a taxi. After a long chase, the pimp drags Nut Gobbler to a rooftop, where Jimmy battles him using the only weapon at his disposal -- the weapon of comedy. He distracts the pimp with jokes while Nut Gobber sneaks up and clocks him with a pipe. The hooker and the fourth-grader then retire to a cheap hotel for sex.

Meanwhile, back at school, the dreary, never-ending talent show is grinding toward an end. But just as Ms. Garrison is about to call it an evening, Jimmy shows up and asks for the microphone. Spent and confident, he launches into his set and then suddenly gets another erection.

Dr. Pal, the "hip," "cool" physician who helps kids learn about their growing bodies and then asks them if they want to take their shirts off and kiss. Nut Gobber, the hooker with a heart of gold (and a nasty urinary tract infection), as well as her pimp, Q-Money. We also meet Shauna Krawly, a fourth grade girl with brown hair and a purple shirt. Jimmy takes her out on a pretty successful date until he asks to stick his penis in her vagina.

Body Count

An unfortunate motorcyclist gets his head lodged between Nut Gobbler's legs during the high-speed chase. Although he's not killed, he'll probably never be the same.

Original Songs

Butters' favorite tune ["Loo Loo Loo, I've Got Some Apples"] gets official treatment here -- he practices and performs it for the school's talent show. The performance doesn't go so well, but it's at least more successful than his tap dancing display in "You Got F'd in the A" . Also, the Goth kids perform a snippet of their Cure-esque tune "Talent Shows Are For Fags."

Where Did The Idea Come From

Matt and Trey wanted to do an episode in which one of the boys started getting erections, but couldn't decide which boy should have the honors. They went with Jimmy because, as a self-styled stand-up comic, he'd have the greatest potential for embarrassment.

As you can see from this production art from Season 13's "Butters' Bottom Bitch", some ho's from "Erection Day" were given another spin and re-used in "Butters' Bottom Bitch".

Shout Outs

During the talent show, Cartman performs a profanity-laden reading from the movie Scarface. Also, when Jimmy finally gets to have sex with Nut Gobbler, he carries her off in a parody of the closing scene of An Officer and a Gentleman. The song "Up Where We Belong" by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warners plays over this -- also from that film. After Cartman's stellar advice on how to get laid, Jimmy asks for Cartman's help on his date, saying, "You're like a white Hitch." This is a reference to the 2005 romantic comedy Hitch, which starred Will Smith as a "dating expert." Colfax Point -- the seedy part of Denver shown here -- is modeled after "The Point" from the HBO documentary Hookers At The Point, complete with Narrator and corn-footed hookers.

Pwn'd

During his stand-up routine, Jimmy tells a joke about home dcor giant Martha Stewart: "Apparently Martha Stewart is out of jail. Have you heard about this? Have you seen this? She's very excited to get started on her new show: Martha Stewart Living -- With an Electronic Ankle Bracelet." He also tells the another Stewart joke towards the end of the episode, saying: "She's apparently gotten real good at baking cakes with keys in them." Jimmy's routine also contains jokes about Pope John Paul and Michael Jackson, but these don't go over quite as well.

Pointless Observations

During a bathroom scene, Butters shows off his signature urinal technique: pulling down his pants and hiking up his shirt before peeing. He's done this several times in other episodes. Rebecca (aka "Red") -- the girl with the signature red hair and navy blue shirt -- is referred to as "Bertha" here. The old, saggy stripper that's crying her eyes out as Jimmy carries Nut Gobbler away certainly gets around -- she can be seen slinging dances at the Peppermint Hippo strip club in "Lil' Crime Stoppers" and "The Return Of Chef" , and also at the police station in "Bloody Mary" . Jimmy is the first one of the boys to go "all the way" with a girl.
