SouthParkStudios Wiki:Manual of Style
Hey fwiend, you’re gonna want to use this Manual of Style as the style guide for all South Park Wiki articles. Its objective? To help you guys, pals and contributors write articles with consistent and clear language, as well as proper layout and formatting.
In short, we really just want to make the South Park Wiki easy and intuitive to use, and encourage all South Park fans to collaborate and contribute.
To create a new page: use the template we provide on the Help page.
For editing: be sure not to change the style without a substantial reason. Consistency in formatting and styles helps keep this South Park Wiki clear, informative and fun.
Below you’ll find our commonly used style guidelines. The rules aren’t set in stone, but we suggest using the templates and formatting provided on these help pages. Thanks, guy!
Dates and numbers
When referring to a season/episode always use “s00e00”. For example, “Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo” is Season 1, Episode 10. It would read: s01e10.
For dates, use this format: mm.dd.yyyy – 10.21.2007
Images
When creating a new Character or Location, be sure to use the default image URL in the template provided on the Help page. Our editors will then create a new image for the character or location to replace that default image.
Videos
You can easily add a link to any South Park Studios video within your article. Just find the video URL on our site and add it, followed by the episode title. For example, to link to “Scott Tenorman Must Die”, you’d use this format:
"Scott Tenorman Must Die"
It will then display the link to the video: "Scott Tenorman Must Die"

Internal Wiki Links
Wanna link to articles WITHIN the South Park Wiki? We got ya covered, dude! Just enclose the name of the page you want to link to in double square brackets. When you save the page, you'll see the new link pointing to your page.
For example, if you wanted to link to the location “Stark’s Pond”, you’d put:
Stark’s Pond
If you’d like to link within the current article you’re editing, that’s also possible. To create this internal anchor, just use double square brackets with a hashtag before the section you want to link to. For example, if you wanted to link to the “Pwn’d” section, you’d type:
#Pwn’d
If you’d like to link to the top of your current page, simply use this code:
