Story
Description
Cartman's grandmother dies, leaving him with a dream come true one million dollars. . He uses the cash to buy his own amusement park, which he names Cartmanland. He won't let anyone in but himself. This turn of events causes Kyle (who at the same time develops an infected hemorrhoid) to question the existence of a God who would allow someone like Cartman to be so happy.
But Cartman has problems of his own with his new amusement park. To raise cash to keep the park running he has to admit more and more paying customers each day. It seems that his policy of not letting anyone in has sparked public interest. People line up for blocks, clamoring for tickets. Cartman is hailed as a financial genius. Kyle, confined to the hospital by his crippling hemorrhoid problems, sees this news and immediately takes a turn for the worse.
Meanwhile Cartman, disgusted by the crowds, sells the park back to its original owners for $1 million -- half of which is immediately taken by the IRS, and the other half is seized to pay damages for the death of Kenny(who was killed on a ride). Kyle, at death's door, is taken to the park to see Cartman grieving over the loss of his million dollars AND the amusement park. The sight causes him to rally, his hemorrhoid goes into remission and and his faith in God is restored.

Behind The Scenes
Where Did The Idea Come From
Matt and Trey almost didn't do this concept because the idea of Cartman buying an amusement park seemed lame. But the idea of Cartman buying a park and refusing to let anyone in proved golden.
Pop Culture References
Shout Outs
Cartman's prolonged rant about theme park lines is taken from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, when the Grinch goes into an equally impassioned tirade about noise.
The story of Job from the Bible is reenacted in South Park fashion here. It's actually a pretty depressing story.
Pwn'd
Stan and Kyle use a firecracker to blow up a doll in a car -- a doll they pretend is Jennifer Lopez. They make the doll plead for its life by saying ,"I promise I'll never make another album or movie!" Also filmmaker Michael Bay. At the height of his existential funk, Kyle cries out, "Job has all his children killed, and Michael Bay gets to keep making movies. There isn't a God."
Bonus Factoids
Pointless Observations
Kyle's questioning of God's existence seems a bit hypocritical, given that he actually met the Supreme Being in "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus". Also, the security guard Cartman hires is the mall cop from "Fingerbang".
We meet all of Cartman's relatives, shown briefly here at his Grandma's funeral, in "Merry Christmas Charlie Manson".
Stan tries to sneak into Cartmanland under the alias Mike Gayner.
Cartman's "You Can't Come Technique" is hailed as a marketing breakthrough, and immediately implemented by stores and businesses across the country.
