==About==
Long ago, a tape was discovered in the land of South Park, a tape that held great power, enough to transform men into monsters, from [[Butters Stotch|innocent wide-eyed boys]] to [[Sixth Graders|hardened warriors]]. A noble fellowship was created at the [[Donovan Residence]] tasked with returning the tape to whence it came: the Two Towers Video Store, miles away in Conifer. This fellowship consisted of [[Ranger Stan Marshwalker|a brave Ranger]], [[The Grand Wizard King|an obese wizard]], [[Filmore Anderson|a dwarf]], [[Craig Tucker|an emotionless warrior]], [[Jimmy Valmer|a noble cleric]] and [[Paladin Kyle|a covetous Jew]]. Banded together by the High Elf of Faragon, the Fellowship of the Lord of the Rings was tasked to return the One Tape, and they succeeded.

The Fellowship would die, but it's players' love of fantasy role-playing would live on in the [[Fighters of Zaron]].

==Cultural References==
*The Fellowship is of course a very straightforward reference to the Fellowship of the Ring in the ''Lord of the Rings'' novels and films, tasked with destroying the one Ring, and also consisting many different races and classes. Each South Park character plays a role from the series, though not all are exact, as compiled below by fans Willie Westwood, Kenny McCorm and theladiespimp18 way back when the episode premiered:
**Stan and Kyle easily play the roles of Frodo and Samwise Gangee, the series' central hobbits.
**Cartman (with [[Kenny McCormick|Kenny]]'s soul) plays the role of Gandalf.
**Jimmy mixes elements of Boromir and during his noble sacrifice, also becomes Gandalf, and is even referred to in this scene as a wizard.
**Craig is believed to represent the warrior, Aragorn.
**Filmore is Gimli the dwarf.
**[[Butters Stotch]] is most recognizably Gollum, the former hobbit who obsesses over the Ring as Butters does the Tape.
**[[Jason]] may be the elven archer Legolas, though it is a purely physical resemblance, as he has no lines. [[Clyde Donovan]] and [[Pip Pirrup]] are also elves, though Clyde may instead be Elrond.
