About[edit]

The adoring mother of Bradley and Henrietta, Harriet is very supportive of both of her children despite their eccentric hobbies, encouraging them to play together and baking cookies for their friends. While she's easily hurt by her daughter's mean and vulgar names, or even harsh words from a neighbor, Harriet's usually trying to keep up a cheerful face around friends and family, even when delivering bad news, and always loves surprises. She loves both of her children, but it's no secret that she has a preference for her little Bradley.

Personality and Traits[edit]

Cheerfulness[edit]

As mentioned, she tries to maintain a cheerful disposition throughout life, even when dealing with Henrietta's behavior, which she has admitted to others she finds hurtful, and happily provides snacks for her daughter's friends and buys her presents even as she's referred to as a "bitch". She seems to share this disposition with her son Bradley, encouraging him to play with his sister despite her protests.

Alternatively, she has used her bright and charming demeanor as a mask in order to hide how she truly feels from others. In Turd Burglars she rather nonchalantly bribes the boys with a video game in order to get them to steal Sheila's micro-biomes, all while playing innocent in front of Sheila and her friends. This mask of hers can break apart when things completely go out of control for her, such as feeling she'd been sabotaged or when the work put into helping Henrietta amounts to nothing.

Sensitivity[edit]

Harriet is a sensitive woman and in many of her appearances admits to being hurt by her daughter's words despite trying to stay cheerful. When she tries to help set up a romantic surprise for Sharon Marsh, Harriet is hurt when Sharon suggests she's crazy for using a school shooting to capture her attention, admitting that if Sharon wanted to upset her she succeeded, before leaving. When challenged by her daughter on one occasion, however, Harriet weakly called her a "fatty".

Notable Skills[edit]

Cooking and Baking[edit]

Harriet seems to enjoy baking, baking cookies for Henrietta and her friends despite a clear lack of interest from the kids, and cheerfully mentions to Henrietta having cooked dinner later in the same episode, suggesting she enjoys cooking for her family.

Memorable Quotes[edit]

  • "Daddy and I just got your birthday present! But you can't see what it is till tomorrow!" (Raisins)
  • "But Daddy and I love our little moffin, even if she's emo or not." (Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers)
  • "Oh, you must be in my little Bradley's class! I know every mother thinks their child is special, but I really think he is!" (South Park: The Stick of Truth)

Design and Outfits[edit]

Harriet is a short woman, wearing a brown skirt and a large orange shirt with yellow buttons, and underneath it a separate yellow buttoned shirt with a collar over her orange one. She wears pink earrings and lipstick and has thick brown hair in an up style. <char name="Fitness Harriet" image="http://southparkstudios.mtvnimages.com/shared/characters/alter-egos/alter-egos-fitness-henrietta.png"/>

Family[edit]

Harriet seems to have a good relationship with her husband, and they both refer to each other as "mom" and "dad" in front of their children, and work together to try to please Henrietta. She is especially fond of her son, however, encouraging him to play with the other children and believing he's truly special. She seems to wish her children got along better, encouraging them to play together despite Henrietta's complaints to the contrary. Of note, the family has few photos with all four of them together, and Bradley no longer lives with them.

Her relationship with her daughter is strained, as while Harriet tries to be supportive by baking cookies and complimenting her creativity, Henrietta frequently calls her mother "conformist bag of demon jizz" or a "bitch" and complains about her seeming to wish Henrietta wore girlier clothing. She admits to being happier when her daughter apologizes to her and doesn't call her names even if Henrietta claims to be unhappier than ever. (But Harriet may be assuming this is dramatics.)

Close Friends[edit]

As she's rarely been seen with the other adults in town, Harriet's exact friendships are unknown, but she and Linda Stotch were tasked with luring Sharon Marsh to South Park Elementary for a big surprise.

Harriet can usually be found at her home on the main residential street in town, cooking dinner or baking cookies for her children and their friends.

Background Appearances[edit]

Video Games[edit]

South Park: The Stick of Truth[edit]

She can be found sitting on a bench of Main Street with some groceries, and if the player speaks with her, she can be added as a friend on Facebook and will boast about her children. She can be added to the game from fairly early on, but if friended, will then disappear once the player leaves the screen.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole[edit]

While the player is exploring the Biggle Residence, she can be located in the kitchen with a bowl of cereal, and is available for a selfie. She can also be seen eating with her husband and daughter at Casa Bonita.

Behind the Scenes[edit]

In most of her appearances, Harriet has been voiced by veteran voice actress Mona Marshall, who provides the cheerful, sweet voice that she is best known for. Her voice seems a little different and deeper when speaking with the adults in "Dead Kids".

Bonus Factoids[edit]

  • She made her debut, alongside her daughter, a full ten seasons before her husband made his first appearance!
