“South Park” wins Emmy Award for outstanding animated program

“South Park” received the series’ second Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour) at Saturday’s Emmy ceremony for the episode “Make Love, Not Warcraft.” The series previously won in 2005 for the episode “Best Friends Forever.”

Receiving Emmys this year were: Trey Parker (Executive Producer, Writer, Director), Matt Stone (Executive Producer), Anne Garefino (Executive Producer), Frank C. Agnone II (Supervising Producer), Kyle McCulloch (Producer) and Eric Stough (Director of Animation).

All-new episodes of “South Park” begin Wednesday, October 3 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
