Taking on the retail behemoth and it's shady labor practices, I see.
From the tone of the clip, (more specifically, Steven Stotch's affectation) they are going to handle it as if it were the late 1800's as coal miners were starting to organize.

It's no coincidence that wages have been stagnant over the same period that labor unions have been in decline here in America. The "gig economy" has been the wet dream of every corporate overlord come to fruition. More work for less wages and fewer benefits. Don't like it? There's the door! We've got a line of eager millennials desperate to chip away at their gargantuan student loan debt.

I doubt it's just going to be an episode about warehouse jobs, though. The boys will need something to do as well, so I'm feeling a B-story; maybe about Fatass buying lots of stupid sh*t online and having it delivered.

Well I like Amazon, I just recently bought all my Christmas gifts there during Black Friday. I did have a bad experience. I bought their credit card as they paid me $60 to do so but then they made me pay like $43 and wanted me to pay them $25 a month. So you know what I did, I paid it all off and canceled it all out and cut the card up.

Not sure how capitalism is to blame? I'm usually the one blaming capitalism and consumerism for all the problems. I guess the addiction of buying stuff all the time is part of this. Like who really needs a new $1000 iPhone every year? People are so tricked into buying stuff just to fit into some sort of clique. I am real socialistic at times. I did buy a new iPhone the other day but the college made me do it as I have to use this stupid class program called Top Hat and I've had issues with my laptop and didn't want my grade getting hurt.

Still capitalism gets people to want things they can't afford all the time. I think Stotch gets addicted to buying goods, Randy had the same issue with Whole Foods and the gentrification of the town.

I had an idea back when of the drones delivery and how Amazon was to have a bee hive base for the drones in like every major city. I could see that making its way into the episode.

Not sure about the title. Sounds like a delivery that didn't get there. Or it may be the promise the new warehouse was suppose to fulfill by bettering everyone's lives.

Seeing Jeff Bezos get joked on sounds fun. He is like a drunk addict now who doesn't wear a shirt and sleeps with 20 year old's.

The clip tells us that a strike is on. I've heard of Amazon workers wanting better wages, a livable wage. People were all upset that Amazon was now a trillion dollar company but didn't take care of their workers well. I've critized Trey Parker before for saying he is laissez faire. I think Trey will attack Amazon for not treating employees well. I think Triplemultiplex is right on that. Coal worker jokes and other ones that draw on darker eras of American history with treating blue collar workers bad will be this episode.

It's clearly referring to both definitions. And probably hints at the main plot.
Working in a warehouse is not a fulfilling job and if they're compensated poorly, maybe they go on strike and then orders go unfulfilled.
Then Fatass doesn't get his Furby or whatever f*cking toy he's going to spazz about.
And there's the dovetail with your A and B stories.

(Is "Furby" too obscure of a reference these days? :D )

2018's Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes. the premise is ok, i'm definitely curious.

imho it mostly boils down to how much trey is willing to dig his knife in.

I notice in the secodn image, you can see one of that particular trio of violent bigoted rednecks, and the farmer's friend from "You're Getting Old", working alongside Stephen. Wonder if we'll see a lot of familiar residents working with Amazon in this episode. You know I love me some background porn.

I think @triplemultiplex summarized basically the entire reasonable speculation for this episode; I've little to add except, ah, here's hoping they finally pin down a defining trait for Stotch, besides the child abuse.

Also... it's going to be first episode I've watched live with my girlfriend since we got together. Excited about that :)

South Park is a platform for Matt and Trey's social commentary and satire; there is no canon and these characters only serve as tools for self-expression. Don't get attached.
