Now everybody who doesn't speak German can read the link you posted allover the German board which is in German.

Big-Will, if you read this, please take a look at the German forum. He/she spammed the whole board with his links there using different nicknames.

You used a wildcard? Is a whole ISP affected, or just a part of their IPs, and which one is it?

A lot of ISP from north europe seem to be blocked now, even more IPs and wilcards than you wrote here. Sorry but that is insane! It affects a region of millions of internet users.

The damage by blocking all the IP regions is much higher than the damage made by the spammer. I understand that spam sucks but that cant possibly be the solution!

There is a better one, but the German site has to implement it: make it so that newbies have to have their first post(s) approved before they can post again. This way, spammers can be weeded out before they can spam the board and I have to come in and block all the IPs the spammers are posting in. Someone come and tell me this is now the case, and I'll lift the IP bans.

The German section of the forum seems pretty unregulated, seems like anarchy to me. No real German speaking moderators, and when someone posts bullcrap, it doesn't have to be approved, but who will approve them? In some posts spam is not that obvious, unless you understand the language.

I've no idea who moderates the german speaking posts, i just now registered cause the IP ban accused me of spamming uncalled.

Often spam is just generated by using webcrawlers and scripts, it seems a crawler has found the word "scientology" and is now targeting this page.

German is my first language and i can tell that the spam is not written by a human, at least not a german. So dont blame any persons, this spam exists only to improve page ranks. No sane user will seriously click the links!

I work in the internet industry and know most of this stuff.

However, if you need help with the german speaking board i would certainly happy to help out if this means the IP ban will be lifted.

It definately can't stay like this, if this would affect you or your region you would think the same.

@Grandmaster B: Yes, it could've been generated by scripts, but I deeply doubt this one was. He answered me (and PM'd me that I should stop trying to stop him, because he does it for SEO etc.). I don't think a script would create answers to my accusations/questions with sense and even PM me.
