I'm surprised that he has a girlfriend and I think it's nice that he has one. But how long will it last?

Not much longer. He lied to Heidi and when he fed her that story about someone taking his phone she had a long pause, which I think means she knew he was lying.

She knew him, and his past. That said, I think she'd forgive what was done before they hooked up, but he was being dishonest to her face and that will be his downfall.

The fallout from this will no doubt be rage, and old Cartman's return

Maybe this has already been mentioned, but Heidi and Cartman have already been a couple in the past, when they were paired in the "Follow that egg" episode, season 9, episode 10, right at the beginning of it.

despite being a big fan of the show, sometimes i am a bit clueless when it comes to references to american culture.

yesterday i read somewhere that it was the anniversay of the "famous" Bronco chase, which apparently is something almost every American knows about (at least those who are 30 or older).

so i finally understand that scene in Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000.

i have to get more involved in this trivia stuff.

I have just rewatched the "chef goes manners" episode. Somehow, I am under the impression that the feelings Cartman had for Wendy there, although it only lasted one episode, were much more authentic than whatever he may feel for Heidi.

I don't think Cartman's relationship with Wendy was as authentic and organically built-up like he eventually developed with Heidi. Cartman only joined Chef's quest to try to get the South Park flag removed or changed just to destroy Stan and Kyle's debate team's credibility (with Uncle Jimbo who wanted the South Park flag to stay the same as it was then) rather than outright helping Wendy, Bebe and future Cartman lackeys Clyde and Butters push for the flag to be changed.

And when Bebe advised Wendy to kiss Cartman, Bebe made a very smart move helping Wendy kiss Cartman in a way that will actually get him to leave her alone afterwards rather than true love, at least from Wendy's end.
