Such a solid, excellent episode with all four of the boys teaming up to do something cool. They did that classic role-reversal thing they sometimes do on South Park where the boys are the "adults" in some situation and it worked again. And teaming up with their dads, that was exactly where it needed to go. Interesting hint at the end of the episode about Jimbo potentially stepping into some kind of paternal role for Fatass. I'll be curious to see if something about that appears again before the run is over.
Teenagers are something we really don't see much of in South Park. It's a town of pretty much adults and elementary school kids as far as what we see on screen goes. Yeah you have your Scott Teneromans and a few other nameless background characters, but they're barely a part of the show. (Even though teens have always represented a significant portion of SP's demo.)
One can actually say the same thing about The Simpsons. Aside from Jimbo, Dolph and Kearny, there's basically zero teenagers in Springfield as well. I think that reflects something about what's easier/funner to write for in an animated universe with very few limits on what kind of stories one can tell.
Back to this episode, it's an instant classic. Aside from Cartman's new digs, you could plug this ep into just about any season in the last 15 years and it would not only fit, but be among the best in that run.

Wasn't a huge fan of S25 myself. The absense of Kyle sucked hard.orangegreen wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 10:24 pmCOMPLETELY agree!! I really liked all of s25 & only wish there were more episodes.shadmaster wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 1:39 amPost-Air Discussion
