Re: *1606: I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining* Post-Air Disc

One of the most outside-the-box episodes in recent times. They were at least TRYING to do something completely weird/original here.

Re: The ending to "Ass Burgers" in season 15

They made a decision to change South Park permanently...and went back on that decision. I'd call it pussying out/backing down.

Re: Alex Jones - a real life "adult" Eric Cartman

Pretty much, yeah.

Both fat, worthless turds with ridiculous worldviews.

If Matt/Trey aren't quite sure how Cartman would feel on a certain subject, they should google Alex Jones's opinion to help them out.

Re: What is the 'Essential' South Park?

Several things: - The puppet show feel. The fact that it's just two guys doing all the voices is crucial. One character sounds like all the others. - The poor animation and, more broadly, an emphasis on substance over style. What seems like a kids show on the surface actually has adult appeal...that...

Re: Congressman calls evolution a lie from the "pit of hell"

People in positions of power in your country actually think an imaginary man in the sky created the universe and actually think evolution is a lie.

What a joke of a country.

Re: America, we need to talk about your guns.

I'm not exactly educated on the matter, but here's my emotional response: "The US has the highest gun ownership rate in the world - there are 89 guns for every 100 Americans, compared to 6 in England and Wales. And the murder figures themselves are astounding for Brits used to around 550 murder...

Re: *1609: Raising the Bar* Post-Air Discussion

I disagree. The James Cameron thing went perfectly with the main story. It was an allegory for what was happening. While Cartman was debasing himself and getting more and more shameless, the bar was being lowered more and more. And...it doesn't hurt to have an irrelevant B story. They're too hard on...

"James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron."

Hilarious.

Re: *1608: Sarcastaball* Post-Air Discussion

I took the episode as meaning that Matt and Trey cannot stand sarcasm in general, and think it's overused...particularly on NFL programming. Anybody pissed off by the overuse of sarcasm in this episode would be proving their point, that it's annoying. Am I wrong/right? Hmm. Hard to tell. Their humor...

Re: *1608: Sarcastaball*

I like all you guys. You're all so cool and nice and fun. I'm a lot calmer this season. It's the first time I've realized...this is just a show. Quality doesn't mean anything. Just a show. It used to be the end of the world if there was a bad episode. Not good for my blood pressure levels. It's just...

Re: Kyle and Butters = murderers

Lol. Now compare this sentence: Gee, Matt/Trey, you're really doing a bang-up job of showing what kids are really like...because most kids I know like to MURDER PEOPLE. with this one: While being unrealistic/absurd within the context of the physical world you and I inhabit, the show IS usually real...

Re: Kyle and Butters = murderers

Yes, what a horrible break in the renowned realism of this show! This is such an idiotic counter-argument, especially since I've seen you talk about characters being out-of-character before. While being unrealistic/absurd within the context of the physical world you and I inhabit, the show IS usual...
